Sun Life Advisors Charity Hockey Tournament comes to Niagara

This March, over 200 Sun Life advisors from across Canada will take part in a three-day hockey tournament.  Dozens of financial advisors will participate in the Sun Life Advisors Charity Hockey Tournament at the Gale Centre in Niagara Falls.

The event will run from March 1st through to the 3rd, with tournament play taking place the last two days from 8am to 4pm.  A final charity game will be played on the final day between the Sun Life All-Stars and an NHL Alumni Team.  The NHLers will include local hockey stars such as Marcel Dionne, Al McDonough, and more. A "meet and greet" with the NHL Alumni will close the event, at the Casa D'Oro restaurant in Niagara Falls.

With the help of corporate sponsors and local businesses, the event hopes to raise over $25,000 for the community.  This year's charities are Community Care, Project SHARE and Big Brothers & Big Sisters.

Tickets to the NHL Alumni Game are $10 for adults and $5 for children and include a free family skate on March 3rd from 5:30 until 6:30.  To inquire about sponsorship opportunities or purchase tickets for the NHL Alumni game, please contact Lester Ste. Club Excellence
Club Excellence workshops focus on building a network of healthy, strong and sustainable sport clubs and sport organizations across Canada.  These 8 hour interactive events give participants a chance to work with a trained facilitator to identify challenges and solutions that are meaningful to each organization.  Through shared learning, the goal is to create a stronger sport system overall across the country.
Workshops cover challenges and solutions in areas such as coaching, organizational effectiveness, quality programs and more.  If you think that your organization could benefit from attending a Club Excellence workshop and would like to see one brought to the Niagara Region, let us know
